Green revolution in Jawor

The municipality of Jawor is one of 19 local authorities in the country to have received funding for so-called climate change adaptation measures.

Funding from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the state budget is PLN 4,558,907.60, the value of the entire project is PLN 5,363,420.72. A Green Revolution awaits Jawor. And we are waiting for the grant agreement to be signed.

The project is called ‘Adaptation to climate change through the construction of green-blue infrastructure in the Jawor Municipality’. It envisages a number of activities, primarily through the implementation of green-blue infrastructure investments and educational and informational activities, which are intended to increase the city’s ‘resilience’ to negative phenomena resulting from climate change – such as heavy rainfall, flooding, waterlogging, but also high temperatures, which are felt particularly strongly in cities, etc.

Information about our project can also be found on the municipal website www.jawor.pl
